Members of Parliament who become a burden on the National Treasury

Probably everyone knows why Rahim Yar Khan district is suffering from backwardness and who has blocked its development path but  has sworn not to say anything.

After MPA's, MNA's have also put a burden of around Rs. 3 crore on the national exchequer in terms of salaries and TA, DA till date. Only one resolution was tabled in the assembly. In the case of TADA, MNA Zeb Jaffer received Rs. 96,077,824, MNA Maiza Hameed Gujjar came second with Rs. 94,056,226 and MNA Chaudhry Javed Warraich came third with Rs. 94,47,208.

According to the report sent from the National Assembly Secretariat under the Right to Information Act 2017, the attendance of the members of the National Assembly, the number of salaries of the members of the Assembly belonging to Rahim Yar Khan in the Majlis-e-Shura and Parliament, and how many TADAs they received.

MNA Javed Iqbal Waraich

Chaudhry Javed Iqbal Warraich, Member National Assembly elected from NA-179 constituency of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) received Rs. 48,15,226 in salaries in two and a half years while he received Rs. An amount of Rs. 94 lakh 47 thousand 208 has been received.

MNA reserve seat Maiza Hameed Gujjar

On the reserved seats for women, MNA Maiza Hameed Gujjar from NA-287 from Rahim Yar Khan received Rs. 48,15,226 in salaries from August 13, 2018 to September 30, 2020 and Rs. 46,041,000 in TADA. He has so far received Rs. 94,056,226 and has not tabled any resolution on public issues in the National Assembly to date.

Reserve seat MNA Zeb Jaffer

From NA-283 Rahim Yar Khan's National Constituency, MNA Zeb Jaffer has so far received Rs. 48,15,226 in salaries and Rs. 48,062,598 in TADA from the reserved seat for women. 96 lakh 77 thousand 824 has been received and only one resolution has been tabled in the assembly. Thus, in total, the three MNAs have so far received Rs. 28.581 million from Rahim Yar Khan from the national exchequer, while no progress has been made by them in this regard.

What the courts say
