Imran Khan arrested for violating Corona SOPs
Satnampura: Indian Punjabi singer Imran Khan alias Khan Sahib was arrested.
According to Indian media, Punjabi singer Imran Khan, also known as Khan Sahib, was arrested along with three of his friends for violating Corona SOPs. In India, there is a lockdown due to the Corona epidemic, and celebrations are banned.
According to police, singer Imran Khan was celebrating his birthday with his band Harpreet Singh, Dilbagh Muhammad, and Ijaz in the Satnampura area of Kapoor Thala district of Punjab last night. Curfew was imposed at night due to Corona. Police have arrested all of them for violating the Cocorona SOPs.
Confirming the arrest of the singer and his friends, the SHO of Satnampura said that they have been arrested under sections 188 and 51 of the IPC.
It may be recalled that in May last year, Gupi Grewal, a well-known singer, and actor from Indian Punjab, was also arrested along with his staff for violating Code 19 SOPs. He was shooting the film in the Patiala district of Punjab despite the ban. In April, Bollywood actor Jimmy Shergill was also arrested for shooting a film in Ludhiana, Punjab, despite a ban.
