Amman: A girl with Down Syndrome, a congenital genetic disease in Jordan, memorized the Qur'an day and night with the help of her mother.

According to the International News Agency, Awatif Jaber, a widow from Jordan, performed a feat that can undoubtedly be called a miracle. A widowed mother of four daughters and a son made her daughter, who suffers from Down syndrome, memorize the Qur'an and became the first memorizer of the disease.

In an interview with Turkish media, the determined mother said that when Rowan Dwivedi was born and I found out that my daughter was suffering from genetic disease due to which her mental and physical abilities would be less than normal children and the rate of mental development was very high. Awatif Jaber said that at that moment I had promised my Lord that I would memorize the word of God for this girl. In the beginning, I memorized the little surahs and in the meanwhile, I realized that the memory of the girl is very good and this is where the journey towards the destination started.

She says that when Rowan Dwivedi was 6 years old, she was admitted to the school, and in just one year, her pronunciation improved, but then she expressed interest in continuing her education at home instead of going to school, so I forbade her. Did not consider it appropriate to do so.

Atif Jaber further said that knowing the spoils of school leave, I started taking Rawan with me to the Qur'an Center, where I also memorized Surahs. When I memorized 4 pages of Surah Al-Baqarah, Rawan's teacher told me that your daughter has memorized the first part of this Surah.

Ruwan's mother says that for the next seven years, my daughter continued to memorize the Qur'an regularly and completed the memorization of the Qur'an on the 29th day of Ramadan.

It should be noted that children with Down syndrome do not reach mental maturity with advancing age, which is why even after reaching adolescence or old age, their thoughts and actions remain the same as those of children and they need to remember their name, address, and mobile number.
