Mutton Karhai not fed, Bridegroom Returned
Jaipur: In India, when the bridegrooms did not offer mutton Karhari to the guests, the bridegroom took back the wedding and married another woman.
The wedding ceremony in the Jaipur district of Odisha state of Indian media caused a commotion when the guests were not offered mutton frying pan as promised. The 27-year-old bridegroom Ramakant Patra not only got angry but also refused the marriage.
The bride and groom tried hard to persuade the groom and his family, but the bridegroom kept arguing and took the barat back. Barati stayed at the house of a loved one and returned to his village after marrying a girl from a village on the way so that Barat would not be mocked for returning empty-handed.
Meanwhile, the bride and groom have approached the police on the matter, but the police say that the bridegroom has remarried and now there is no room for reconciliation. The last few days in India have seen an increase in the number of cases of barat being taken back for strange reasons.
