Recovery of Rs 23.246 billion in fake accounts
ISLAMABAD: Chairman NAB Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has lauded the performance of NAB Rawalpindi and said that it has recovered Rs 23.246 billion in fake bank accounts cases.
DG NAB Rawalpindi Irfan Naeem Mangi said that Rs. 31.906 billion was received through plea bargain and government lands. The accountability court granted the plea of accused Hamad Shahid, Abdul Ghani, Tariq Baig, Muhammad Iqbal, Tauseef, Amir, Siraj, Shahid and Ehsan Elahi for Rs.
The accountability court in the case of Roshan Sindh accused the Chief Executive Officer Messrs. Zafar Enterprises Nadeem Younis, Abdul Sattar Qureshi, former Executive Engineer RDD Aslam Pervez Memon, former Director Technical RDD Baldeep, Director Wadud Engineer Services Pvt Engineer Services Pvt. Ltd. Jaffer, former Divisional Accounts Officer Abdul Rashid Chana and Ayaz Ahmed Siddiqui's plea bargain application of Rs. 299.97 million was approved.
The accountability court granted the plea bargain of accused Tara Chand, Ahmed Mastoi and Ghulam Sarwar for Rs 82.9535 million in the case of embezzlement in Sindh Tractor Subsidy Scheme. It was informed in the meeting that Rs. 1005.72 million was received through property in fake bank account.
